  • Angelo Cardellicchio

Telecommunication Engineering PhD / Polytechnic University of Bari / BariMakers

PhD student at Bari Polytechnic University, he tries to juggle through incomprehensible words as deep learning, computer vision, GPGPU, multithreading, etc. – also trying to understand what is happening under the hood. Meanwhile, he likes to learn everything that orbits the world of computing, trying to keep pace with the progress of a very dynamic field, which can give satisfaction and, above all, entertain and fascinate.

  • Piero Boccadoro

Electronic Engineer, Researcher / Polytechnic University of Bari / BariMakers

Under the motto “fly only those who dare to do it" Piero is a passionate student and a curious geek. It begins like many, dismantling pc, he then get passionate about electronics and programming. Today he’s a designer and maker with many models to strive for. Diverse work experience: from IT consulting up to web contents editing passing by the implementation of Open Source projects, training, education and more. After working in the neuroscience field as electronic designer now he does research for Bari Polytechnic.

What is it about?

What will we work on?

The ultimate goal of the course is to create – starting from scratch – a specifically smart-cities oriented Android app that can respond to the needs identified by participants in the design phase, which shall take advantage of any of the technologies presented during the course (including the RESTful web radio services, Bluetooth or NFC communication, JSON and web services).

How does it work?

We’ll start with short theoretical introductions to the treated topics, followed by extensive hands-on activities, in which participants will have the opportunity to experiment and find solutions to the posed problems by the project, which will be defined by participants themselves, assisted in all phases by teachers and tutors. The class will also be divided into groups, made of 4-5 students, each of which will work to a specific Android app.

↳ Courses will start once the minimum number of participants is achieved.

By clicking on SUBSCRIBE you’ll get access to a form to be filled in to complete your enrolment request:
